Nokia 5800 Caller ID name not working problem
Nokia 5800 Caller ID name not working problem. Sometimes my Nokia 5800 will not display caller ID ( caller name), but just number. I have input my friend names in my contacts, but when I received the call, it only display her phone number. I checked my contact list and found that if the contacts are both in sim card and phone contacts, the caller ID will not display, it will only display number. it seems that duplicate entries in contacts will not tell phone to it display the Caller ID, but only default to showing the number. after I delete one duplicate name on phone contact list. now it works. if you find your Nokia 5800 can not dispaly Caller ID name, you can try to check your contact list and delete duplicate name.

A friend and I have a 5800. No problem in mine with the Caller’s ID, but hers doesn’t display who’s calling, not even the number!
I even deleted all contacts from both the SIM card and the Phone Memory and then added one to test it and it didn’t work. No duplicates and it doesn’t work.
If someone has some idea or clue, it’ll be greatly appreciated.
