How to turn on/ off . you can use Nokia 5800 with silent mode or vibrating alert, or not only silence but also vibration when calls. firstly it is simple to turn on/ off. from Nokia 5800 home menu >  Settings > Personal > Profiles > Options > Personalise > Vibrating alert > Options >Change >Tap On or Off

if you set the Nokia 5800 phone on silence  and vibration mode, you can set as follows:

Ringing tone – Off

Ringing type – Silent

Ringing volume – Lowest setting

Message alert tone – Off

Key tones – Off

Vibrating alert – On

Video call tone – Off

Email alert tone – Off

Warning tones – Off

Say callers name – Off

    Hello,
this is not right: when you select “silent” ringing type, the phone won’t vibrate at all. You have to select “ringing” and keep the tone to off to let it vibrate only; anyway i can’t find a way to let it vibrate only when someone with a personal ringing tone set calls me :( if someone can help me, please post a solution
